ISRA BLACK POWDER LEAGUE DATES: All matches are the first Sunday of the month, 9am – 2pm.
2017 BLACK POWDER LEAGUE Oct 8; Nov 5; Dec 3. State Championship will be October 14.
LOCATION: Illinois State Rifle Association Range Range 1.
FACILITIES: 25 firing points, indoor restrooms are available.
ELIGIBILITY: Open to the public. You must have a FOID card.
REGISTRATION FEE: $20 to join the league, $5 for the first target, $1 for each additional target ENTRIES: There will be no limit on entries. Those who have entered 5 days prior to the match will be given precedence. Walk on entries are welcome.
RULES: Current NMLRA/NRA rules apply.
CHALLENGES: Recorded by a jury.
CLASSES: Traditional open sights, round balls only. In-lines, optical sights welcome.
DISTANCES: 25 yards and 50 yards. Fun matches available.
ISRA Ranges 2, 3, 5 and 6
RAIN or SHINE! Come out to the ISRA Range and sight-in your shotgun, rifle, pistol, muzzleloader or bow.
Archery range is available!
$10.00 per firearm or bow: Includes targets for rifles, handguns, muzzleloaders, shotgun slugs, shotguns and bows.
Shotgun cost includes use of patterning board.
You must use trap loads on the patterning board.
It is recommended that you bring at least 25 rounds of ammunition. No ammunition is available on premises.
ISRA or Range membership is not required.
However, you are welcome to join that day!

Directions to the Illinois State Rifle Range The Illinois State Rifle Association shooting facility in Bonfield is a private membership range, and features shooting ranges and leagues for rifle, pistol and shotgun. It is located approximately 7 miles west of Kankakee, Illinois on Warner Bridge Road (7000 West and 1989 North Rd.)
Via I-57 from the North:
Exit at Manteno (#322); turn right (west); go approximately 8 miles to Warner Bridge Road; turn left (south); go 8-1/2 miles to the ISRA range.
Via I-57 from the South:
Exit at Kankakee (Rte. 17, #312); turn left (west); go approximately 9 miles to Warner Bridge Road; turn right (north); go 1-1/2 miles to the ISRA range.
